Carriacou Marine reopens after 3 months of lockdown
Great news, Carriacou Marine reopens after almost 3 months of lockdown. On Tuesday 26th May 2020 at approximately 9am Carriacou Marine welcomed the first international yacht to Carriacou.
The Yacht was given a very warm welcome by Minister for Carriacou & Petite Martinique Affairs; Honorable Kindra Maturine-Stewart with Permanent Secretary for Carriacou & Petite Martinique Affairs Ms. Rholda Quamina together with officials from the Port Authority, Immigration and Customs, Ministry of Health. The crew were given a temperature test prior to being given permission to proceed to the quarantine area as instructed by the Port Authority, where they will remain for 14 days.
After quarantine the crew will be given a Covid-19 test. The Ministry of Health will issue a health certificate on confirmation of a negative result. The Yacht and crew can then proceed to haul out their boat and are permitted on land. During the quarantine period Carriacou Marine will arrange delivery of requested provisioning supplies. After the quarantine is completed the crew plan to prepare the boat for maintenance and storage.
